In January, I wrote about storytelling. I was referring to telling our life stories to our children and grandchildren. But today I'm talking about storytelling in the truest sense of the word.
I would like to share with you a wonderful story. This story was handwritten by my 10 year old, autistic niece, Kirsten Coy at her school. I have done my best to keep the spelling and punctuation EXACTLY as it was written. This is truly amazing! I hope you enjoy!
Prince Jack
Once upon a time, the King and Queen has a baby prince named Jack. The whitch took a baby prince. "I'm going to stay with the witch," said Jack. Meanwhile, a princess named Abby "Hmmm oh I'm a princess Yes I am!" sing Abby Bonk! Abby saw a tower where the witch lives "Oh my goodness. I wonder who lives here," said Abby. She climbed the tower. "Hi, I'm Abby." "Jack have we ever met" "No" "I'm the lost prince" gasped Jack. Abby took Jack to the castle with the King and Queen, they live happily ever after. The End.
My favorite words that she chooses to use are: Meanwhile, Bonk, and Gasped! And its so adorable that they live happily ever after! She's has such a cute imagination!
