Thirty Days of Thanksgiving

For those of you who know me, you know that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (followed very closely by Christmas). There is nothing about autumn and Thanksgiving that I dislike. I try with all my might to be thankful and to think grateful thoughts all season.

If you read my blog at the end of last month, I started out on a quest to be grateful. I listed things like family and friends, fresh cut grass, books, babies, etc. So, I decided that this month I would actually track something I was thankful for each day. I may repeat myself a bit from last blog, but here’s my 30 Days of Thanksgiving:

1. Jesus/God
2. Bible/God’s Word
3. Holy Spirit/wisdom
4. Billy
5. Beau
6. Sarah
7. Jesse
8. My sisters/sisters-in-law
9. The rest of my family
10. Freedom in the U.S.
11. My church family at FBC esp. Brad & Carrie
12. My home
13. Our working vehicles (not so grateful for the one that’s not working)
14. Our jobs in education
15. FGE & SWAY & Sustained Momentum
16. Becca M./Courageous Missionaries
17. Our grandparents/parents
18. Access to education
19. Heaven/Eternal life/Forgiveness
20. Baseball/the Smell of fresh cut grass
21. Caramel apples
22. Dreams & Goals & Giftings
23. Music
24. Snowflakes
25. New recipes
26. Books
27. Nature/Hummingbirds/Fall leaves/Sunbeams
28. Restaurant Gift Cards
29. Friends/Re-connecting with old friends
30. Life and breath

I hope you found yourself on this list in a specific way! Because it’s true – I’m thankful for you. I pray that you will be inspired to be grateful everyday for all the blessings that the Lord has so mercifully given to you as well. God bless you!
